Complaint: this is about silicon mobile, same deal , i am a small computer
retailer in concord, nc and was contacted by david at silicon mobile, he
wanted me to sell his computers in my store front and pay after they were
sold or in 45 days. he asked for a cancelled check to send laptop, so i
faxed a copy of a company check. i got the laptop in 5 days. i could not
sell the overpriced computer, so i called david, in which he answered the
phone by a different company name, i told him that i could not sell the
machine so he said i could have 15 more days, i told him that i am selling
dells for $699 so to try to sell his crap at cost ,$1298.00 was impossible,
so i wanted to return, he said that i couldnt cause it was too long and past
the 30 days, which he said he would give me 15 more days, so he sent
fedex to pick up machine, which i sent back like he asked, well 2 days later
i find a draft withdrawn from my account for $1298.00 without my signature
not required. then i calle!
d and asked him where my money was, well he doesnt call back , he faxes me a
letter to say that the compter was not in the original box, it was a box
inside of a box, that was on the outside of the box that the compter was in,
then he claims theres some fees of $260 for restocking and fedex, and that
he wanted the original outside box ,and claimed that i didnt send the case
that it came with, mewhile i bought 8 laptop cases from him several moths
ago, so that was the case i sent with the computer, instead of taking the
$260 out of the $1298.00 that he fraudulently took from me he thinks my dumb
ass is gonna send him another check, this has cost me so much grief that i
had to change my checking account so he cant use it again, this is what help
i got from my bank. this company is a fraud and they have several differant
names that they go by, he also sells herbs.which i think he smoked too much
of. i hope that some day someone can do something( like the government) to
a__ __ h!

AT&T UNIVERSAL CARD: Contact |

Complaint:
I HAVE HAD IT WITH AT&T UNIVERSAL CARD. I AM CONSIDERING A CLASS ACTION
LAWSUIT BUT NEED HELP FROM OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME SITUATION AS ME. THIS
IS MY STORY:
I have had the card for 5 years. I got into financial trouble after losing
my job in March 2003. I was out of work for close to 3 months. I called
Universal Card to ask if I could defer ONE MONTH of payments so I can get
back on my feet after starting a part-time job, while still seeking
full-time. I was told of a payment program by a rep there. It was explained
to me as this:
The program is for 12 months. No interest, no fees during that time will be
accrued on your account. The minimum payment, $135, will be automatically
debited from your account each month. If you bounce one payment the program
expires.
I signed up. Who wouldn't? My balance at that time was approx $11,000. All
12 payments were made on time, never a problem. The program expired, and I
recieved a bill. The minimum due was over $500. MINIMUM. I called, very
confused and distraught, to ask why and if something could be done. That's
when it was explained that the interest was "defered" no waived during that
program. Had I known that it would be tacked on in the end, I would not have
agreed to that program. I was also informed that my rate was now 29.99%. I
about had a heart attack . I asked if they could lower that to something
more manageable. I was told "NO", belittled, told "you made your debt
problem, now deal with it." I made the minimum payment so not to hurt my
credit. After making the payment, I called and spoke to another rep. I asked
the same question, lower the rate please. No. I asked to talk with a
supervisor, I got more attitude from them than the first rep.
My most recent payment minimum due was $740. I am now over the limit because
of interest. My minimum due is all interest, with the exception of $5. I
keep struggling so not to damage my credit. My rate is still 29.99%. The
refuse to send me back statements from when I started the program. They
refuse to lower my rate. I am hung up on by "supervisors" when the call
escalates to them, or transfered to the collections department even though I
am not late. I can not get anywhere with them. Tonight alone I called 4
times, was hung up on twice, and transfered I don't know how many times to
people who were misinformed of my want. The reps don't listen, lie to you,
misinform you, don't help, and do just about everything possible to
make you upset.
I could go on and on with this story. Please contact me if you like. I am
consulting an attorney next week (feb 2005) to see what, if anything, can be
done and how costly it will be for me. I regret the say I took this card. My
email is above, please lable the subject line as AT&T card. Thank you for
taking the time to listen. |

I am speaking with a consumer rights lawyer who is interested in starting a
class action based on my dealings with Chase Visa. I noticed your note re
litigation on the website, and he too, said that the problem is that it is
too expensive for an individual to pursue these seemingly illegal issues.
However in my case there is a provable bait and switch re a transfer check
that was posted and the rate never given, while the APR doubled because I
had amassed additional debt--talk about getting you coming and going. I
noticed you have a litigation area, and would like to know how I might post
there. From what I understand, it only takes one person to start a class
action, but the more the merrier...and there seem to be a lot of us out
there. |

Citibank: Contact |

Complaint: Citibank is harassing me by sending me solicitations for credit.
I tried to apply, and was turned down. I was told that my previous
bankruptcy, which is discharged in full from my credit record, will forever
remain in Citibanks files, a previous creditor on the bankruptcy, thereby
making me ineligiable. Since they say I am not eligiable for credit
through their establishment, I have written letters to various management in
the corporation in an effort to get these solicitations to cease. They
continue to ignore my requests, going beyond just being harassing. I
would be interested in hearing from anyone who is suffering the same
problem. I see the Fair Credit Act does not cover this problem, and
would be interested in pursuing legal action to change to law. |

Complaint:
I too have had several problems with Orchard Bank. For example:
Yearly fee put me over my credit limit resulting in them charging me an over
limit fee. I called and asked to have a limit increase (which they
did) and I found out that I asked for a $100.00 increase and only got $75.00
because they charged me a service charge of $25.00.
Their overlimit fee also caused my account to go from 22% to 30% and they
never informed me of this. I had trouble making an online payment. I
used 2 totally different computers so I know it was on their end. I
immediately sent them 2 emails telling them I was unable to make my payment
on time because their online program was not working properly and of course
they still charged me a late fee. I have filed a complaint with a
lawyer that does class action suits and he just informed me that he is
proceeding with the complaints he has against Orchard Bank.
Please join in..........the more people we have the better chance of getting
a good result and maybe putting an end to their unfair practices. |
