Complaint: Bank of America. This is the first on-line payment process that
has turned into a nightmare for me. Their quick and easy process has turned
into several days now and still no posting of the payment. My money is gone
but still no posting. The phone calls are still coming in about being behind
but the payment has been made.Every time so far a payment has been made they
automatically put in the payment due date, regardless of when the payment is
made. Then when the payment does not post on that date they charge a late
fee. Several phone calls have not resoved this issue. No one has asked for
the confirmation number that is issued by their web site. All they ask for
is whether the money has been transferred. When I called my bank I was told
that the money has been "spoken for" and I cannot access it anymore. So if
they do not have this money yet, my question to them is? "Where is it?" Out
in cyberspace just waiting for that certain someone to press a computer key.
So !
I guess what I am saying is Beware of Bank of America's easy on line payment
program. Their site states that all payments after a certain time will post
on the next business day but what they really mean is whenever!!! |

Complaint: Bank of America Card. I just did a 0% Balance transfer onto a
Bank of America Credit Card. The payment was received late, however I mailed
it with plenty of time to get there. This was my first payment and it was
applied 4 days after the payment was due. I was charged a late payment fee,
a over the limit fee and now I am going to be charged interest. The Customer
Service and Manager's attitude is basically "TOO BAD." I will never use BOA
for anything again. |

Complaint: After many years of carrying the Bank America USAirways credit
card I decided to cancel it. I called to cancel it when I saw the $90
charge on my June statement. I paid my balance in full and deducted the $90
charge. When the July statement came they billed me for a $65.81 finance
charge plus the $90. When I called to complain I was told that I owed the
$90 annual fee because there was still a balance on the card when I
cancelled it and that I owed the finance fee because I didn't make the
payment in full. I promptly filed a small claims lawsuit and hope to get my
$155.81 plus court costs back. |

Complaint:
Last September I got an offer for a Fleet/Bank of America credit card with a
0 percent introductory APR on purchases until November 2005, "if you
transfer a balance now.'' The offer didn't specify that I had to transfer a
balance simultaneously with applying for the card, so when I did transfer a
balance two months later Bank of America claimed that I did not live by the
terms of agreement and charged me interest on purchases for November and
December 2004 totaling $57.
I believe the offer is deceiving and misleading. Its formulation is so
imprecise that consumers can easily fall into the trap of deception through
intended lack of clarity from BoA.
The offer that I received does not clearly tie the obtaining of 0 percent
APR "until November 2005'' to transferring a balance when a customer applies
for the card. Usually, banks give you 1-2 months during which a customer can
transfer a balance.
Although I complained to a Bank of America customer service representative,
he laughed when I told him that I plan to file a complaint with the Attorney
General of the state of New Jersey, where I live. "We are based in
Delaware,'' he quipped.
Then I comlained to "Max'' a BoA supervisor, but it seems that the bank will
continue to charge me interest and the "0 percent APR until Novemver 2005''
was just a siren's song. When I told "Max" that I will talk to a consumer
rights lawyer, he abruptly ended the phone conversation. I don't think that
this is fair.

Complaint: I opened a credit card with Fleet/Bank of America with a
promotional interest rate on my balance transfers. In January they sent me a
notice that they were going to raise my rates. I contacted customer service
because according to their user agreement they would only increase the
interest rate if I had paid any credit account late or had gone over my
credit account with them or any other account. I have never done any of
these things in the last 18 years (that was when I received my first credit
card). I have a credit score in the mid 700's which I understand to be a
fairly good score, but they said that they were raising my rates because I
had another credit card with a high balance. The funny thing is that I had
that credit card when I was offered theirs? I told the customer service rep.
that I would like to opt out and just pay it down. I received my new bill
and it has the HIGHER interest rate. The customer service girl said it was
because I opted out and I sa!
id I opted out to stop the interest rate from rising. She said I closed the
account FIRST. Talk about going in circles. ugh....... What a bunch of
unethical, fraudulent people! |

Complaint: Bank of America is EVIL!! I called Fleet (now Bank of America)
back in September 2004 to find out what balance transfer rate I had
available. The Cust Service rep I spoke to said that I had a 1.9% rate on
transfers that would expire in Feb 2005. I did not make the transfer on the
phone at that time, but made it a few days later online. I called BOA in
January to find out the exact date the 1.9% rate expired so that I could
transfer it to another card. The Cust. Service rep told me that I needed to
pay my balance by Feb 1. Whenver I was looking into the balance of my BOA
card so I could transfer it to another card, I happened to notice that the
finance charges were extremely high. I calcuated the interest rate to be
~11%. I checked back on the previous months and noticed that I was
overcharged on my Dec statement as well. I called BOA and told them about
my issue. The rep I spoke to looked into my account and told me that the
1.9% rate expired on Nov 1, n!
ot Feb 1. I explained that I just spoke to someone else a few weeks earlier
who told me that the offer expired in Feb. She looked further into my
account details and found out that there were 2 offers available to me at
the time of my transfer request, and of course it was processed under the
offer that expired earlier. She said she would request an adjustment for
the over-charged interest and I should receive a credit by my next
statement. Well, of course I didn't! I recently called back and talked to
another rep and explained the whole story. He could not find any record of
any adjustment request. He also told me that he would only request the
adjustment for the months of Nov and Dec because the offer ended on the
first day of the billing cycle that included Feb 1. It seems like BOA
cannot keep their info straight and everytime I talk to someone the terms
and offers change. I NEVER had these problems with Fleet before they merged
with BOA. I am filing my complain!
t with every organization I can. I'm sure this has happened to several
other people and I'm hoping that eventually their will be a class action
law-suit against BOA. If you have had a similar experience, PLEASE file a
complaint. |

Complaint: Bank of America, credit card fraud problems. Seems that I got the
credit card fraud, purchases on e-bay by someone using my card info stolen
from pay-pal. Finally got it all straightend out, seperating my acutal
balance from the fraud, and guess what, they raised my enterest rate from
4.6, which I had for 5 years, to over 27%, because my payment was late while
getting this mess straightened out. So I paid my balance, and cancelled the
card and guess what, they will report it to the credit bureau, canceling a
card is a big no,no. They can stick it up thier noses, what a rip off!! |

Complaint: I used my card in an ATM accidently for $20 withdraw and I accept
that was my mistake, I paid the balance on the bill in full on the due date
and the next month there was still a finance charge of .40. I give them the
benefit and paid the balance due on the due date and the next month a
finance charge of .32. I called to complain and they said they would take
care of it. I paid that balance in full plus .04 (more than full balance
due) on the due date and sure enough the next month .16 finance charge. All
attributable to one $20 ATM withdraw. I called again and they told me it
was attributable to an $8 cash advance. HELLO!!! where does that come
from??? I only did this once 4 months ago for $20 and each month I've paid
my full balance due in full and in some cases plus a little extra, How can I
still have finance charges on something that was paid off 4 months ago. I
want Spitzer to look at how these calculations are done, I feel if a balance
is paid in fu!
ll on or before the due date it wipes finance charges out, otherwise it is
impossible for a card holder to ever pay their balance, espically if they
run monthly debt. |

Complaint_against: Fleet/Bank of America
Complaint: I originally had a Fleet card in which I paid the enire balance
off November 2004. After the payoff I had never received a statement and
then in April 2005 went to use t onlie to buy airline tix. I got an error
message that said to contact my card company. So I called the number on the
back of the card and to my surprise the automated answer said "welcome to
bank of america". It then prompted me to enter my card number and zip code.
I got "incorrect zip code", so I entered the zip to my prior address which
was 4 years old, still "incorrect zip code". I pushed enough buttons to get
a live person on the line and they didn't have any of my information corect.
They my address in a State 1000 miles away and could not confirm any of my
data. They finally told me there was a $4500 balance that had been overdue.
After plenty of talking the forwarded me to the Fraud dept. I told them the
whole story and they said, no problem, sounds like an easy case, we'll send
you out a!
form to sign. I signed the form and sent it back that same week and they
took the charge off. About a month later I get my first statement from Bank
of America and there is a charge of $4500 on there. I called them to ask
what the deal was and the rep had no clue what I was talking about and
finally forwarded me back to the fraud dept. They said they never received
the form. I told them I sent it and they said they would send another. They
did, I signed it and the next month I got another statement with the $4500
plus a late fee. I called again, and the same thing, they knew nothing about
it and forwarded me to Fraud. Fraud said they never received the paperwork,
so I said send it AGAIN and give me a fax number and I will fax it to you. A
few weeks later after not receiving anything I get an automated call saying
I was x number of days overdue. I staed on the line to speak to someone and
at this point I'm kind of angry. They again forward me to fraud where the
guy on the li!
ne says, oh, I see your form, its right here, we have the one from April. He
said that was a case of someone not doing thier job and it would be taken
care of. Only 2 days later I get another call stating I was still overdue.
At this point I get nasty with the guy and had some choice words about the
type of employees working there. After arguing back and forth he put me on
with fraud..only he put me on with new claims who knew nothing. I'm fed up
with them! They just left another message on my home phone. I'm at the point
I would strangle one of the rep's if I spoke to them in person. Never get a
B of A card! I'll see how this plays out..... |

I am 67 years old and have excellent credit for over 40 years. I took
advantage of 0% transfer checks offered on my Bank of America Alaska
Airlines Card. Made monthly payments online as usual but last month a
payment did not post due to glitch on Bank of America's website. They
acknowledged the issue and credited back the late payment fee. When I
received the the statement I found that they had upped my finance charge to
31% and charged me $415 in interest!!! The reason they stated was due to the
fact that I had one over the limit fee (which they reversed the charge for
because we pay the card off completely at the end of each month and over the
limit means "anytime during your billing cycle" which is another scam all
together) and one late fee (which was caused by thier system and rectified)
the card automatically switches to the "penalty fee". The supervisor stated
that they could not reverse the penalty fee regardless of the chain of
events. Needless to say I paid the ca!
rd in full the following day and canceled the card. I am now pursing legal
action for what I consider unethical business practices.

Complaint_against: Bank of America
Complaint:
I am a 67 year old woman with excellent credit for over 40 years. I accepted
an offer for an Alaska Airlines Card offered through Bank of America in
2003. I do not carry balances on credit cards and choose to pay off the
entire amount each month. Since I use the card for all of my purchases and
travel there are months where I make two to three payments during one
billing cycle. Various times over the last 24 months I noticed "over the
limit" fees of $29 to $39 on my monthly statements even though the balance
on the card was zero at the end of the billing cycle. The reason given by
Bank of America is that even though I make payments during the month to keep
the balance within the credit limit there could be a day within the cycle
that the card was officially "over the limit". I
asked Bank of America several times to simply cut off my charging ability
when I reached the limit because it was simply impossible for me to keep
track of the charges and payments crossing each other on a day to day basis
especially during travel periods. Bank of America state that they cannot do
this however in every instance an "over the limit fee" was charged, Bank of
America reversed the charges without hesitation.
90 days ago I took advantage of a 0% balance transfer check offered by Bank
of America on the same card. When I received my latest statement I noticed
that suddenly the interest on the balance went from 0% to 31% and had
accrued $451.00 in interest. Bank of America explained that due to the fact
that there was an "over the limit fee" posted twice in the last 12 months
regardless if the card was not actually over the limit at the end of the 30
day cycle, they had the right to change the interest rate and place the card
on "penalty phase" for six months. The higher the person in command I spoke
to the worse I was treated. This is the most blatant case of unethical
business practices I've ever encountered. $451 in unexpected finance charges
is a lot of money to most people but even more so for senior citizens like
me on a fixed income. Bank of America should be ashamed at the way they
treat law abiding senior citizens who are responsible with their financial
obligations. Don't!
fall for these 0% scams as they will get you. At least they can't continue
to steal my money since I've closed the account and moved my business
elsewhere.

My Visa credit card from bank of america charges a 3% "International fee".
This means that whenever I use my card outside the U.S., I get dinged a 3%
charge on my transactions, just for using my card! This is absolutely
outrageous. I've come to understand that most credit cards are doing this.
After decades of marketing and advertising campaigns by Visa to promote the
ease and convenience of using your credit card wherever you go, now they
come and hit you with a ridiculous 3% charge. I'm infuriated by this.
After all their "Visa, use it anywhere" and the many other television
commercials and infinite other advertising and promoting, they go behind
your back and charge you for doing what they've been touting all these
years. I hate Visa, I hate my credit card, and I'm only going to use it

A year ago or so I did a balance transfer with an apr of 8.9 for the life of
the transfer. Everything was fine till I changed addresses last june. I
notified BOA of my new address but after a month and no statment I got
concerned. I called them and they informed me that I was late and that my
statement was returned to them. We verified addresses again and they had my
correct address so who knows. They said they would waive the late fee and
send out another statement. Another month goes by and the same thing. Again
I call and verify that they have the correct address. They did! This time
there attitude was basicaly "Too Bad!"
I had enough! I signed up for online banking to monitor my account since
they obviously had no clue what they were doing. The damage was done
though. I have now been trying for several months to get them to lower my
APR but they refuse to work with me. At their fault I am in a penalty phase
for late payments and they have raised my APR to 31.9. I will never do
buisness with BOA again and I would advise everyone to do the same. BOA
will be recieving a letter from me asking to never contact me again or I
will file a harrasment and defemation of caracter suit against them. 31.9%
APR seems very extreme for someone that they consider a valued customer and
had two late payments that where supposedly credited back. |

Carol D
Complaint_against: Bank of America, former Fleet MasterCard
Complaint:
On 12/16 I was informed that my house payment did not make it to them in the
mail, so I called to find out how to make a payment by phone or otherwise.
The mortgage co. informed me that they accept Western Union Quick Collect by
credit card, and another form of checking account payment. I elected to go
with the credit card option. Once on the Western Union website, there's a
warning that states "some credit card companies consider this type of
payment to be a cash advance." So I stopped what I was doing, and called the
credit card company - Bank of America - on the speakerphone (thank goodness
I chose to keep my hands free that day). Anyway, I explained to the customer
service representative what I wanted to do, and she ASSURED me that it was
only considered to be a cash advance if I picked up the cash and paid it to
the mortgage co. myself. She even put me on hold to check with someone else
and came back and assured me again that it was NOT a cash advance. So, I
proceeded !
with the payment which cost me $6 less than the house payment late fee would
have. Next credit card statement I received included a $28.50 charge for a
cash advance. I called again on 12/30 and talked to a customer service reps
& supervisor who apologized for the error, I gave them the name of the
person who assured me it wasn't a cash advance, and they said "so and so
told you that" like they were familiar with the name. They explained that
because of the way Western Union submits the charge to the credit card
company, that it IS considered a cash advance. I complained that there's no
way for a customer to know that - other than to call the card company to
find out - like I did! They agreed to reverse the charge. Next statement I
get still has the amount being charged 23.9% cash advance interest. So I
called again to complain and this time I am told that because "there was no
record of my call on the day of the cash advance 12/16 - that they can only
reverse the cash advanc!
e fee but the interest accumulating still stands, which will accumulate
until I pay the entire $10K balance off! I complained that I have no control
over the fact that a customer service rep. records the nature of a
customer's call, or if they delete if for that matter! Still there's nothing
they can do. So, I have complained to the FDIC, the local consumer advocate,
another credit agency, and will try to get 2 or even 3 new credit cards with
low intro APR's to pay off this balance and get rid of this scamming credit
card company for good. On a previous complaint, they refused to do a charge
back to Best Buy who formatted my hard drive because they didn't have the
password, even though I have a signed form where I did provide such. They
erased $100s in software to replace a $10 fan and then claimed that they
were not liable because I'd signed the waiver. But I DID NOT sign the waiver
because their customer service person was an IDIOT who told me it would be
fixed locally and!
I could pick it up same day! Even though Best Buy completely erased the
hard drive, the bank card co. said they could not do a charge back because
they DID fix the fan afterall - even though I told them that I still get the
"fan error" message. The bank card said I HAD to return it to Best Buy first
to let them attempt to fix it!!! I refused to let them touch it again,
complained to their HQ who did far more than my stupid bank card - they gave
me $250 in gift cards, and another after a complaint that it just wasn't
enough. Bank of America refused to do the $60 chargeback because they said
Best Buy DID in fact fix the fan. So, I ensured them that I'd never use
their card to pay for a carpet cleaning service because IF they cleaned ONE
spot from my carpet but damaged $1000 in furniture in the process - their
STUPID logic would apply in that too, I guess. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BANK
OF AMERICA, and if you do - make sure that every time you call them to NOT
TRUST what the CSR!
tells you. Be sure to call 5 times and take the best 3 out of 5 answers,
record their names (remembering that you are at the mercy of the CSR's being
honest), and INSIST that they log the call and call back in 1 hour to
inquire if it was LOGGED if the issue you called about is really important.
There should be a way to prevent their SCAMS like this.
I have not received a response from them yet to my FDIC complaints. |

Students Beware
Get out of Bank 0f America. Close out your accounts with Bank of America.
Bank of America cheats perticularly students because they know that students
generally don't compalin and don't have time to compalain and wouldn't do
anything about it, because they don't want to be seen as whiners by their
peers. Recently BOA increased Credit Card Interest on my son's Crefit Card
to 31.99% because he was late in his payments by one or two days during the
past 12 months. This was after they had already slapped $35 late payment fee
on the accounts. They should not be allowed to charge such hign interest
rates perticularly from students who live on meager incomes. even the
Lawmakers look the other way and there is no law prohibiting the Banks from
Loan Sharking. Lawmakers are payed off by the Lobbyists, therefore there is
no legistation prohibiting banks from charging such high interest card
rates.
The only way to teach a lesson to bank of America is if if there is a mass
exodus by students from bank of America. Banks should not be allowed to
increase rates to such high Interest rates. We should also talk to our
Congressmen to introduce legislation to curb Credit Card interest rates.

my balance. Knowing I was close to my limit I wanted to make sure how much
money I had left on my balance. I was told by the impersonal computer that
my available credit was $110.45.It was my son's 4th birthday, so I bought
him some shoes ($24.95), a dvd ($19.95, and some miscellaneous toys
($28.00). As you can see, well shy of $110. Or so I thought. What I was not
informed of was that Bank of America had not yet added my finance charge
($106.00) to the bill. That happened on July 9th, that total plus what I
spent took me way over my limit and hence a $35.00 overlimit fee. I thought
there was a time when they took the finance charge when the payment arrived.
Nope, 6 days later after I was told the credit was there. Now that is just

customer service. So far this morning, September 6th, I have been on the
phone for 1 hour, 31 minutes and 6 seconds. I have to listen not only to
obnoxious music, but music that cuts in and out every second, thus it is
annoying and anxiety provoking. This credit company posted my payments late
when they had been sent on time. I had to resort to obtaining post office
receipts to prove when they were sent. I sent money from my Wells Fargo
bank and it was not posted for 21 days, way past the time it should have
been. A Wells Fargo representative told me there was no reason it should
not have posted sooner. I then closed the account and made a $7,000
payment. It took over 3 weeks to post. AFter I made the payment, I had
Wells Fargo do a balance transfer wh!
ich should have only been for a few thousand dollars. Since Bank of America
did not post the $7,000 but held it unethically, and I believe illegally,
the balance transfer was for $8,000+ and now I owe Wells Fargo the money at
2.9 % interest. Meanwhile, Bank of America has my $7,000 payment and
refuses to answer the phone. I tried the internet but could not get through
and the only way to contact them was by phone which I cannot do as my phone
is tied up waiting for them to answer. I am disgusted and will NEVER do
business with Bank of America again. It is a corrupt bank and engages in
illegal practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I have had an account with BOA since June 2005. I have always paid off my

I mailed it out the next day paid in full. Yesterday, my new statement
arrived claiming I was 2 days late and would be charged $39.00 on top of the
interest they charged me on the balance.

Complaint: My son's ex-wife, upon the divorce, was to pay the entire balance
she had put on the "Fleet credit card", per their divorce agreement. She
lived in one state, my son in another. He assumed she had taken care of
it. 3 years later he finds out she not only did not pay it off, she put
more on it, and now BAC was after him to pay. We, his parents, asked BAC if
they could take him off the account and we pay 1/2 the total amount. They
said no. We hired a lawyer, BAC has given him, us and our son the RUNAROUND
for over 1 year now. 2 months ago we paid a "settlement" amount, and they
still have not given us a letter showing it was paid. Our lawyer still has
nothing accomplished with them, and our son's credit score continues to be
tarnished by only this one "bad credit item", due entirely to the ex-wife
and BAC who has treated us like @**!@!$&&. We do not believe a company

Complaint:
After being a loyal customer of MBNA for over 12 years I was rewarded by
raising my interest rate from 11% to 27.9%. When I called and complained
about this rate hike, I was told that a reveiw of my credit profile put me
in a high risk catagory, and there policy allowed an increase to the
rediculus 27% rate. One would think that I had a bankrupcy, or uncollectable
account... Just the opposite! I have no deliquent accounts, have never had a
forclosure, and have never filed bankrupcy. Why I asked am I being subjected
to this high rate. After being transfered around the company, I finally
received a call from an "account supervisor" who explained that my high
balances on revolving credit accounts prompted them to raise my rate. I was
absolutely dumbfounded. Not late payments, not delinquent accounts, but
simply high balances. The ironic part of my story is that just 2 years prior,
I had my account with MBNA paid off. They sent me an inviting offer to take
advantage of their low 5.9% balance transfer... and I did... $18,000
transfered to there account. This is a warning to others who may have high
balances on credit card accounts. Even if you make your payments on time,
even if you abide by the terms of your agreement, your company may raise
your interest rate to an alarming rate, just due to the fact that you have
HIGH BALANCES. Believe me I paid off my $18,000 balance by the due date, and
guess what, my next statement that I expected to be ZERO was in fact $311.
It seems that MBNA (now Bank of America) charges interest even after you pay
your balance in full. TOTALY REDICULOUS! I have to say that I didn't
experience this scam and deceptive practice until Bank of America took
over. The only good thing I can say, is I am proposing an amendment to Ohio's
constitution limiting the gouging interest rates credit card companies can
impose. Hopefully some good will come out of it.

$78.00 to get my account balance to zero. I did this by phone. My
compliant is the $77.00 is an unfair charge because we called and talked to
a representative and got the pay off amount, sent that amount before the
next payment was even due and now they made us pay $78.00 to have the
account paid off. Bank of America was one of 5 credit card companies we
paid off and they are the only ones who tried to get additional money
besides the pay off from us. |

Seems I was charged as late charge...late? Why I am never late. First call,

working on Thanksgiving, god knows she ain't got a family. This bitch says
I've been late eighteen times. Almost impossible. I use my bank online

A call later reveals that indeed, BOA switched the due date. " you need to
read your statement carefully." I am told by insipid asshole, who keeps
repeating at least thirty times, "i'm sorry you feel that way, I'm sorry you
feel that way." Management training.
They will not drop the late fee though they changed the due date. WHAT A

Complaint: I paid off my balance in September 2006. I received a bill with
finance charges on it, so I called. I spoke to a respresentative and she
told me she'd waive the finance charge. She told me she couldn't give me
proof except for the zero balance statement I'd receive next month. I then
told her I wanted to close out the account. She wouldn't do it, so I called
back and closed out the account. The next month the finance charge was still
there, as well as additional charges. I called to find out what was going on
at least 6 six times over the next two months. I wanted an explanation as to
why she didn't do what she said she would do. I was basically told that they
wouldn't remove the charges and it was my word against theirs. I was also
told by a representative that they can't waive finance charges if you close
the account. Why couldn't they have told me that to begin with!!! I finally
paid the account off today. I informed them I would let everyone know how
poor thei!

will not be able to prove it because they have their computer notes and can

Add me to any Class Action Suit against this bank which practices are at the
very least UNETHICAL IF NOT ILLEGAL.
I've been making payments on a large balance on what was originally my MBNA
card (then Bank of America took over) and was paying at an interest rate of
10%, making all payments on time. The account was closed as far as using it
for any further purchases (BY ME) so that it was strictly being paid off for
the balance. All of sudden my 10% interest doubled without any notification
by Bank of America. When contacting them they said I was notified by MBNA
(crap), believe me if I received a notification that they were going to
double my interest rate I would have ACTED IMMEDIATELY! Their explanation
for this insane hike in my interest was according to them, that I had other
credit card debts (all of which were NOT Bank of America and all of which
were being paid off on time). Basically, nothing to do with them as they
were receiving all payments on time (NEVER ONCE MISSING A PAYMENT AND ALWAYS
ON TIME). Yet, they arbitrarily decide to find a way to put me in more
debt.
So a person that is making all their payments and trying to budget those
payments by the interest rates that were supposedly fixed will end up
finding themselves owing more than they can afford.
Ironically, Bank of America gave the Oprah show thousands of dollars to help
those less fortunate and this very same Bank is MAKING ALL OF US LESS
FORTUNATE WITH THEIR UNETHICAL PRACTICES. |

Complaint: I have a credit card which I am in the process of paying off
(actually transferring the balance to zero-interest cards). I have
transferred roughly half the balance, and paid off half the card. Now I
have found out that because I used the card for cash advances in the past,
they are charging me a HUGE interest rate (it has even gone up since the
last billing cycle, which was before I made the payment) and my monthly
payment has actually increased even though my entire balance has been
reduced by the balance transfer. I thought that was kinda weird, so I
called them, and they said they can charge me high interest on the cash
advance balance until the rest of the card is paid off. In other words,
they can apply any payments to the lower interest balances first.
Essentially they can charge me high interest until the entire card is paid
off. This doesn't sound fair to me, but I know that credit cards can get
away with murder when it comes to usury interest rates!
. I argued with them and told them I'm a good customer and I never pay
late, and I've been with them over 12 years, but they don't care. They said
the rate is non-negotiable. And then they tried to get me to mortgage my
house to pay the credit card! I'm not that stupid. They are really
cuthroat. Does anyone know how and to whom to report this abuse? |

Complaint: I had an MBNA credit card for several years and my monthly
payment was always on time because I had scheduled debit directly from my
checking account on the same day every monthy. My payment date was about 7
days prior to the due date until BofA took over my account. They changed
the due date to 10 days sooner for one month (went back to normal the next
month and since)! Of course my auto payment was late and they jacked up my
interest rate to 24% and charged a late fee! It cost me hundreds of
dollars! I called they told me that the terms of credit card agreement
allow them to change the due date to when ever they want and that I should
have looked at my bill. This is criminal! I transferred my entire balance
to another credit card the very next day. It wasn't over yet, they charged
me interest on the balance after I transfered it even though the payment was
received before the due date. According to the new terms of my credit card
(which I never agreed to!
since I had initially signed up with MBNA not BofA) they accrue finance
charges daily, not monthly. I am filing a formal complaint with the
Comptroller of the Currency and New York State Attorney General's Office.
Not that they can get my money back but I'm not going to roll over and play

use them to pay down my Home Equity Line of Credit so that I don't pay
interest and when the promotion is up I draw from the Home EQ. to pay down
the card before interest hits. I beat them at there own game. It can be as
much as $25,000.00 of interest free money. I always pay my bills 5 days in
advance. It took 6 days for Bank of America to process my check. I know they
received it on 1/30/07 because it cleared by account on 2/1/07, the second
business day, but they say they got it on 1/31/07. Then, changed the rate to
20.54% and charged me a $35.00 late fee and $64.94 in interest. When I
called then there only response was "tough". Thank g-d I have the money and
I paid the bill in full. But they are ripoffs of the highest order. I also
have another accoun!
t that was originally Fleet Bank and is now Bank ofd America, but they
procees their payments under the old Fleet system, which was fair and
honest, not like the Bank of America crown. I sent the old Fleet payment on

We were trying to consolidate and pay off our credit card debts in 2003. Now
that MBNA has merged with Bank of America, we verbally requested by phone
detailed records of our account and they cannot supply them. We asked who we
send the written request to and they said they don't know. Our interest rate
has been increasing because of changing internal policies of MBNA/BofA and
we cannot support 29 percent interest rate. If they were fair in practice,
we would be able to work out a deal. They want us to pay up front $4000 but
cannot. We can consolidate our 3 accounts (2 of which are current but at 29
percent) but they don't want to. They don't want to negotiate unless we pay
$4000 and the full amount with 29 percent interest rate. All we want is to
pay our debt off in a reasonable time frame that is fair for both parties.
We are sinking without cause and this debt could have been paid off in a
matter of a year or two. We are complaining because of unfair business
practices a!
nd harassment by not supplying information when requested.
We called GreenPass, which is a free debt agency but they said they couldn't
help because BofA changed internal policies. What a rip off! This is
extortion. GreenPass said to file a complaint with the federal trade
commission. We also filed with BBB.org and our State's attorney's office.
Something has to be done and Bank of America/MBNA must be punished for their

We inquired and were told that because Bank of America bought MBNA they
could change the rate they wished. We consider this totally lacking in

that that needs to be addressed by the regulators of this industry. This
seems to be turning into thievery by these banks particularly when they are

Bank of America (B of A) kept sending 0% APR balance transfer ads.
They charge $400 for Balance Transfer Fees. They sent the first bill in a
way to be delilvered on the due date (Friday January 5th). I think that was
a deliberate act to reverse the 0% APR to 13.99%.
I called the same day that I received the bill to pay it and the customer
service assured me that there is no penalty if I pay it on Monday.
I paid the bill and then I noticed that, overlimit fee ($39.00), late fee ($
39.00) and finance charges ($136.14). They keep charging all these fees
every month since after, even after 50% of the account has been paid.
I think that is a policy of the B of A to skin the customers as much as they
can.
I will never use this Bank again. I had a second mortgate that was sold to B
of A. They are doing similar tricks not sending me the bills on time hoping
to charge me the late payment fees and finace charges. |

three weeks before. I asked why didn't they let me know? They claimed that
they had sent me a letter, but I hadn't gotten one. Eventually, in January,
I got a letter saying they were lowering my limit. The date on the letter

Complaint_against: BAnk of America MBNA IFA Card Services
Complaint:
First of all, if your doing business with any of these combined entities, my
advice is to get out while you can! Please don't take my word for it. Just
Google search for predatory banking and you'll see the whole story for
yourself!
My horror story started a few years back while traveling. I had a credit
card with a $5000.00 limit, and I had put about 3700.00 on it (which later
would be reimbursed by my employer). While on that trip I was offered a
course that I wanted for $2000.00. The course vendor obtained a line of
credit for $2000.00 trough MBNA. The rate was a bit high (20%) but since it
was a small amount of money I wasn't worried. About three weeks after
returning home from my trip I got my first bill from MBNA. It arrived on the
due date.
Oddly, the envelope had no date stamped on it just a printed block that said
"first class mail pre sorted". Alarmed, I called them up asked what was the
deal with this arriving on the due date? The nice girl on the phone said
this sometimes happens on new accounts.
I asked if I could pay by phone and she said yes but it would cost me$15.00.
Well it seemed kind of stupid that they did business that way, but I made
the payment on the phone. About a week later I got a past due notice from
MBNA saying that my interest rate was now 29% and I had two payments due
plus two $50.00 late fees. Furious, I called them again. According to MBNA
the only thing to do was, to make all payments due and they would adjust it
back in the next cycle. OK, again I paid the double payment on the phone so
there would be no excuses about when it got paid. A month later my billing
came in without an adjustment. Another phone call quickly showed me I was
dealing with what I can only describe as con artists as they had not yet
processed my credits. So again I called them and this time asked for the
close out dollar amount for the account. I paid this by phone as well. Is
the account closed? No. I get yet another bill with a payment due. So I call
again and I expl!
ain that I have closed the account and paid off the balance. But that's not
the way they see it at MBNA as "it can take a while" to process these
things, and if I don't want a bad credit rating I should pay this payment
too. So I make this payment too. My next phone call was to my attorney. He
got the account actually closed and a $52.00 credit back. So on top of these
interest rates MBNA had racked up an additional whopping $350.00 in bogus
charges, penalties, and interest in less than 45 days. My attorney offered
to file but his fee being near the penalty amount, I let it slide. But at
least I was rid of MBNA, or so I thought.
Note: I was glad to be rid of MBNA because I had heard MBNA was on the verge
of going under.
Note: According to what I had read, the MBNA's buy out value that Bank of
America paid them at was based on super high-risk mortgages and even credit
cards and credit lines issued to illegal aliens that's not worth the paper
it's written on. MBNA's reputation was so shot, that they couldn't draw
decent clients and keep them. BofA had bought a pig in a poke.
I just recently had a crazy snafu with my Bank of America Visa card, wich I
cannot seem to get resolved. I did some investigating. Guess what? Bank of
America bought out MBNA (and their whole portfolio of high risk low quality
junk loans) and has now turned their Visa card service over to MBNA. MBNA,
however, is now hiding behind their new name of FIA Credit Card Services.
Apparently, MBNA's reputation preceded them in the market place, and they
had to take up a new brand name.
It's kind of sleazy because FIA Card Sevices bills under the Bank of America
logo, so the consumer can't really tell they are dealing with such low
quality, highly predatory lenders. Doubly weird because I had opened my Visa
account with Bank of America before the buyout! I had no idea that they had
even converted it to this FIA Card Services group. Quality customers are
fleeing for their lives, which leaves Bank of America nowhere to go but to
chase good money with bad. I'm just reading today that 13% of subprime
mortgages are in default and this bank is holding WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much
of that action.
I'll write again with the details of my Bank of America/MBNA/IFA VISA CARD
fiasco when it reaches a conclusion. By the way, I hold other Visa cards,
Amex, Discover etc. All have perfect histories. It's just this bank. |

The customer service person said if we paid the account each month on time,
the interest rate would be lowered. We struggled to make the large payment

Several months back a payment that was listed to be paid online to Bank of
America did not go through. I was charged a late fee - $39. I received a
letter from Bank of America's Vice President offering assistance if needed.
A couple months later, another payment did not go through. Another late fee
$39. My store had to be closed because I could not keep up with the
expenses there. When I called Customer Service and mentioned the letter
offering assistance, I was rudely told that the "lady who sends out those
letters can't do anything. She just sends out the letters." Later on, I
called again and asked for a reduction in the amount due and the interest
rate. I was flatly told "No". Right now, I am in dispute with Bank of
America because they want me to pay what I cannot afford to pay. Each
month, the interest rate goes up, as does the past due amount and late
charges added and since the total amount due has not been paid, the balance
of those payments have accrued!
to a total way beyond my means to pay all at once. Therefore, with each
payment whether I make one payment of $50 or two payments of $100 and $200
respectively, a late fee is added. My letters to Bank of America have been
basically ignored; however, one was deliberately misconstrued. I received a
letter stating "as per your request for additional credit, we are unable to
comply with that request". I never asked for additional credit. In fact,
I do not use credit cards for anything and have not for several years. My
sole goal is to pay off the ones I have; therefore, the only "credit card" I
use is my bank debit card.
I finally sent two registered letters to Bank of America, one to the Vice
President and one to the accounting department where my bill payments go by
mail. I've received the signed green cards back. So far nothing else, but
this last month I did pay $300 and still got a late fee added on. Bank of
America also continues to increase the interest rate each month.
Bank of America does not care HOW you get the money to pay them with, but
that you do get it and give it to them. They don't care that you have other
costs of daily living or other debts. I intend to fight and them adding on
all these late fees and increased interest rate is just making me angrier
and more determined to fight. I have always paid my bills, but I have
NOTHING more to give them. It would be nice to believe that a credit card
company as big as Bank of America actually cared about their creditors
instead of seeing how much blood they can squeeze out of you before you drop
dead. My sole income is from my home business, which is not all that much.
Without family to help, I would definitely have to decide between eating and
keeping a place to live or paying my bills.
Whatever you do, DO NOT TRUST BANK OF AMERICA. If you falter at all, the
vultures will eat you alive. |

Complaint: These dirt bags are out to hurt people. I read online that you
can request a lower interest rate and most card companies will lower them. I
contacted all my banks and all lowered my rates except B of A. They tell me
because my balances are to close to my credit limit and my credit score is
in parts based on this that they cannot lower it. So over the past 3 months
I pay down my debt with them so as to get a big gap between my limit and
balance. today I call to try again to get it lowered. What do I find? My
credit limits have been lowered close to my balances and because of this
they cannot lower my rates......what a total scam! Plus they are hurting my
overall credit score because they are keeping my limits so close to my
balances. My credit worthiness is lowered because my balances and my limits
are so close. This is an artificial way to keep a customer on high rip-off
interest rates (24.99%) and to damage their credit scores to make it harder
to refinance somep!
lace else at a better rate. Avoid Bank of America at all costs!! |

Complaint_against: Bank of America Visa: New Annual Fee
Complaint:
I just got a letter today about my Bank of America Visa account: a new $29
annual fee. Prior to this there was no fee.
Making a call, I got through several hoops and spoke to a senior account
service rep. I was cool, calm, nice. I said I didn't see the need to pay
this fee, and would like it removed. Apparently it worked. I urge everyone
who gets the same notice to save yourself some time and call Bank of
America's service line: 1-888-346-5425. Don't bother calling the number on
the back of your card, you'll lose 15-30 minutes on hold. My background: I
have had a Visa acct with Bank of America for two years. It is my first
credit card, and it started as a secure set-up, meaning I put down a deposit
of $99, and my monthly limit started at $500. After 6 months, the $99 was
freed up, and of course my credit limit went to $3000. Getting and keeping
this first card is important for me in the long term to establish and
maintain a credit history, in case I'd like to buy a house after the
mortgage crash comes and goes.
Since I first got the card, I have always paid the monthly balance in full,
never late, and I never go over the limit. This of course partly explains
why the new annual fee was imposed: they don't make any service fees or
interest from my account. I spend within my means, and pay on time, which
means (in Bank of America's eyes) I am a first class deadbeat! |

Complaint_against: MBNA - Bank of America
Complaint:
April 19, 2007
Senator Norm Coleman
Ranking Minority Member
Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations
Dear Senator Coleman,
I am writing to you today in an attempt to disclose what I consider to be
the latest questionable maneuver by credit card providers to scam
unsuspecting credit card consumers with questionable and unreasonable late
fees.
I have been a card holder with MBNA Quantum for approximately 10 years, with
an "excellent" credit rating and a high limit Mastercard. As you know, Bank
of America acquired MBNA last year. Throughout my relationship with MBNA I
had never had a late payment. After acquiring MBNA, Bank of America
immediately set about tinkering with the terms and conditions of my
Mastercard agreement - all of which I immediately declined in writing.
However, the most disturbing change has occurred just recently when B of A
started adjusting my billing cycle date(s). My monthly bills continued to
be received on or about the same time each month, but the "due date" was
quietly and conveniently moved closer to the date of receipt of the
statement and they eliminated any grace period for posting. So unless I pay
the bill immediately upon receipt, I am likely to encounter a significant
late fee due to possible postal delays. During the past several months I
have encountered two unreasonable!
late fees on my statement because my payments were conveniently posted one
or two days after the due date, this after a 10 year history of payments in
advance of the due date. When questioning B of A on the matter I was told
by customer service in very curt terms that the reverse side of your
statement clearly states that; "Your Payment Due Date Will Not Fall On The
Same Day Each Month and there is no grace period!," which I have highlighted
on the enclosed statement examples. Needless to say I immediately cancelled
my card account!
I am now asking for your kind support and cooperation in conducting a
complete investigation into this practice in hopes of preventing millions of
unsuspecting cardholders from being bilked out of potentially billions in
late fees. I will also be posting this letter on a variety of websites
throughout the Internet in hopes of raising consumer awareness.
With Kind Regards,
Richard L. Weaver |

Complaint: I always paid my credit card and other bills online whenever
available. I had no trouble with any payments until several months back
after making a payment online to Bank of America, I received notice of a
late payment with offer to assist me if needed. That came from the Vice
President of Bank of America. A couple of months or more went by with
payments going through online. One month I paid 3 times, of approximately
$600, which I really did not have to give to them. My income comes from my
own home-based business. When business is good, I do well, but some times
business is not very good at all and my income is very low. I still have
bills to pay and living expenses. Then another payment did not go through.
I was beginning to wonder if maybe Bank of America had something to do with
this problem. Another letter arrived from the Vice President offering
assistance if I would just call their Customer Service. I did and was very
rudely told that the lady s!
ending out those letters could not do anything for me. The interest rate
had doubled, as well as the minimum amount due had increased and I asked for
a lower interest rate as well as a lower minimum amount due. I was told it
was a good interest rate and that they could not give me a lower rate. Over
the months and many letters later, including two registered letters to Bank
of America, my minium amount due had been compounded to $600-$700, which I
could not pay. With every payment, even the one month where I made three
payments, I still got a late charge. At this rate, I knew at 58 years of
age, I would never be able to pay off this bill. However, I made two
payments in one month and found the following month, I was unable to make a
payment. Since I had made two payments the month before, I thought it only
right if I did not make a payment. Bank of America cared only for how much
money I earned and how much I could pay, but my income being so fluctuant, I
could not gi!
ve them a definite answer. I told them I would pay what I could and that I
did want to pay off this debt. That was not good enough. The fact that I
have very little income and other creditors is of no importance. Last
night, May 15, 2007, I received a late evening call from their attorney.
The debt is significant and I would like to pay it off, but I cannot pay
them at the rate they demand. Therefore, I plan on continuing to pay off my
other creditors and will deal with Bank of America the best I can. I don't
want to file bankruptcy, but that may be my next option. What can you do
when a creditor assumes whatever money you have, whether it be $10 or $1000
a month, they want IT ALL and then some, even if you have to borrow or steal
it. |

company. Anyway, my story is almost the same. I signed up online for a Bank
of America Credit Card and the terms &conditions stated that there would be
no annual fee, 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 6 billing cycles, and
NO BALANCE TRANSFER FEES. Well, I go online to check the balances and
SURPRISE! I was slammed with a large balance transfer fee. I called and
spoke to a rep only to get the run around and not to mention the rudeness of
the staff. Basicly I was told to provide proof that such a offer existed,
unfortunately I made the mistake of not printing what I sugned up for, but I
went back and located the website. I was instructed by the rep to fax it to
her which I have several times and gee guess what no answers. I called again
and got the run around. One of their reps even called ME at home and was
arrogant and rude. So please beware of this company and their balance

Their interest rate of 7.90% seemed very reasonable. I was carrying a
balance of $ 3100.00. I received my statement this month and my interest
rate was raised to 21.99%. I immediately called them and was told that my
account had been reviewed and that they decided to raise my rate. I did not
realize that they can raise you on past balances without even telling you. I
called back and advised them that I would be paying off the balance and
wanted the card cancelled. They switched me to a supervisor who wanted to
know what the problem was. He then stated that they would review my account
and get back to me. I told him , No Thank you, and to cancel my card. What
if I did not have to money to pay off the card? I would be stuck with
21.99%. There is something wrong here. |

We have an FIA credit card, that went south after being taken over by Bank
of America. First the interest rate went up on the money, I didn't see it,
and ended up paying a late fee because of it. They are now doubling the
interest rate. Then there is the 3% atm fee, and the 3% foreign transaction
fee. Then I posted a payment to the account and they credited it to the
previous cycle after the cycle was closed and I got charged yet another late
fee. This time I discovered it and even tried to pay them on the day it was
due. In the last 3 months its added up to about $250 in fees. Time to kiss
the credit card good bye, and when they ask why... |

Complaint:
Bank of America's due date policies and assessment of fees are total scams.
They claim to give you at least 20 days to make a payment from when the
statement is mailed. That is a lie. First, they date their statements before
they are mailed out - I know this for a fact because I check daily on line
to see if the statement is prepared and also request an email alert when the
statement is available. A recent statement they claimed was mailed on June
14 was not even available online until June 15 - and they sent me an email
alert on June 15 when it was prepared, which further demonstrates it was not
mailed out on June 14! Next, they set their due dates for Sundays and
holidays when payments are not processed. Last month, their due date was
Sunday June 3, 2007. I always pay online electronically a few days before
the payment. I made a payment online June 1, 2007 (the Friday before the
payment was due). Well, their web site has a "cut off" time on June 1 when
they change the dat!
e of the payment to the next BUSINESS day - in this case, June 4. Needless
to say, even though the "payment" was electronically received by them on
June 1(and processed in exactly the same manner as a check that they
subsequently convert to electronic form would be processed), they added a
$39 late fee because the due date was June 3, a Sunday. I contacted customer
service fully expecting them to reverse the charge. They REFUSED, claiming
that they had the right to apply the electronic payment on the next business
day even though they had received the payment before the due date and even
though the due date was a Sunday.
I make my payments on time to them, and have a great credit history. This is
how they treat their "valued" customers! I intend to contact the
Colorado Attorney General and file an action in small claims court against
them. Needless to say, I am never again doing business with them. P.S.
Needless to say, next month's due date is, of course, July 4. |

I had a credit card with MBNA. I never had any problem with MBNA bank.
However, after Bank of America bought MBNA, the card service became
nightmare. One month ago, before I made my payment, I called customer
service to make sure if I could make a payment through its branches. The
representative said "yes, I could go any branch. If I make the payment
before 2:00 pm, then it would be show up the same day." Then I went to a
branch to make payment. The payment did not post for couple of days even
though my money was taken out from my bank.
This time, I went to its branch again to make a payment. Then the teller
said I would be charged a late fee because the branch needs three days to
process. I called the customer service. The representative said I would be
charged late fee too because I made payment on due day. Then I asked why I
was told I could make a payment to its branch and would be posted on the
same day. Then the representative said she did not know it.
Bank of America is tooooooooooo selfish. It has absolutely BAD service. It
is worthless to deal with this type company.

Complaint_against: Bank of America Shifting Due Dates to Enhance Late Fees.
Complaint:
BANK OF AMERICA USES SHIFTING DUE DATES TO EXTRACT ADDED LATE FEES Do
you think you've covered yourself against late fees by using automatic draft
to pay your monthly Bank of America credit card bill? Not a chance..
A recent revelation that I will share with you. Ive alway used autodraft
to pay scheduled monthly payments of $500 on the 10th of each month almost a
week ahead of my due date. Got my August 2007 Bank of America statement
with a billing line that said "LATE FEE FOR PAYMENT DUE 08/09--$29" Hmmm.
I immediately called Bank of America --I explained to the Rep that there
was an obvious error as I have used automatic draft to pay them for years.
In a matter of fact manner she quickly said it was because the due date had
moved forward some 5 or 6 days. ...as if it were routine to shift the due
dates forward. After some colorful conversation she agreed to take the $29
off as if that were all it would take to make me happy! I asked to
speak to a supervisor as I was curious as to what their explanation was for
shifting due dates forward. I carefully listened but still cannot tell you
that I why. He kindly tells me that if I wanted to avoid future late fees
I now would be required to log on to their web site, get into my online
account and change my draft date up to coincide with Bank of Americas new
unannounced due dates. It was very kind of him to offer advice on the
specific actions that I now would have to take.... At that moment I told
him to close my account and send me a check for my credit balance on my
credit card... And can you believe that he actually wanted to know why I
wanted to cancel my card? The disturbing thought is how many
thousands/millions of Bank of America cardholders using autodraft for
payments will be dupped... Bank of America should immediately refund every
customer scammed in this fraudulent manner. Maybe a good class
action firm should help them along. Any suggestions on putting together a
suit? Its time to take a stand! |

Complaint: I had no Bank of America credit cards, however, BOA merged or

cards belonging to BOA, after their acqisitions. I never applied for a BOA
credit card. BOA changed my interest rate from 4.5% (the lowest interest
rate that I had on their cards) to 29.99% on all their credit cards. Soon
after BOA upped their interest rate my other credit card companies upped
their interest rates as well. I had been making my payments on time and
paying more than the minium payment on these cards. The bills that I
received and the minimum payement due so so enormous that I could only pay a
part of the payment. BOA charged me late fees on top of large interest fees.
I talked with their representative and see complimented me on being such a
valued customer and paying my debt on time, but she stated thata unless I
would allow them to take the payment out of my checking account, there was
nothing that they could d!
o for me. I asked if they could stop the late fees or lower my interest
rate and they refused. I could not give them permission to acess my checking
acount, not know if the money was in it that month. I continued to pay what
I could afford to pay on each credit card while falling further and further

being told not to. They turned it over to collections I now find myself in
a financial hardship that I see no way out. They have now attached a lein

cannot and do not live above my means, I am struggling to keep my other

m getting behind, however the people are saying I have the ability to pay.
They even want me to transfer the balance to a credit that I struggled to

Do not get this card!!! A nice representive offered to combine credit
lines from several cards when I called about a blance transfer offer, so I
put half of my home equity balance on their 6 month offer to save interest
paymnents. When I got the first bill I set it up for my checking account
to pay the minimum balance each month so I wouldn't have to worry about
it. I turns out that it was a day or 2 shy of a full month. Since I
wasn't manually paying it I didn't notice that the 2nd month minimum was $2
more ($610 rather than $608). The next bill not only contained a $39 late
fee because of the $2, it also had almost $600 in finance charges because
they had immediately, without notification, changed my 1% to 18% because I
had a "late payment". The rep said they could remove finance charges but
not late fee and could not restore the rate until they received the $2. I
mailed that right away, waited a few days and called back. I went up
another level in representatives and he said there isn't any way to restore
a rate once you've had a late payment. I said I would close the account
and they would lose a lot more than $2 every day by not having my money, but
he said it didn't matter. He was completely inflexible. My payoff balance
reflected hundreds of dollars in additional finance charges he termed
legitimate and would not remove. I should have closed this account 2
years ago after they approved a charge that was over an artificially low
limit, charged a $39 fee for over limit, and recharged it the following 2
weeks even though I hadn't received the bill yet and didn't know I was over.
I have been to the Bank of America website and could not find any way to
contact their management to complain. |

Complaint:
I am one of millions who fell for a "SCAM" with Bank Of America! My credit
rating was top notch but thanks to Bank Of America my life has turned upside
down.. I am now living the Bank Of America nightmare!!!! My credit rating is
now in the garbage area of the Bank Of America Scum Pond!!! Do
"not" apply for a Visa or any type of card with Bank Of America!! If you
fall to their way side and apply for one of Bank Of Americas Credit Cards,
your life will change forever and "not" for the better!! They not only
raise your intrest rate to 34 per cent from "0" per cent, they "trash" your
life! And all along I paid off my bill or paid hundreds up on it. Oh
and don't "ever" take out their Credit Card Protection Program if perhaps
you become ill or were in an accident. Bank Of America is Americas RIP
OFF BANK!!!!! DON'T EVER FALL FOR BANK OF AMERICAS UNHUMAN SCAM!!!! |

Complaint: My payment is due on the 9th of every month. One month on the 8th
(Saturday) I made a payment at one of their offices, thinking it was on
time. On my next bill statement they charged me a late fee. I called them
and asked why. Because the payment was post it on Monday the 10th they
considered it late, got no where on the phone. I then sent them an e-mail
asking them to explain it (so I could get it in writing). There response was
they could or would not respond because of security issues. I got no where
with the whole thing. |
